Waipahu defeated visiting Pearl City, 47-25, Wednesday night to win its third straight game to begin OIA West play.

The Marauders and Chargers were tied at 8 after the first quarter, but Waipahu outscored the visitors in the remaining three periods to pull away for the win.

Mia DePonte scored 10 points and Anna Penitusi added eight off the bench to lead the Marauders (3-0 league) in the win.

Kiani Alama had a game-high 11 points to lead the Chargers (1-1 league) in the loss.
