For the second week in a row, Kalaheo shut out its opponent with a convincing 43-0 win over Waialua in an Oahu Interscholastic Association Division II game at Farrington's Edward "Skippa" Diaz Stadium at Kusunoki Field on Saturday.
Quarterback Noa Lapera threw for 209 yards on 11-of-15 passing with no interceptions. Two of his three touchdowns went to Jedaiah Borge with the other to Kekoa Alana.
Borge caught passes of 38 and 68 yards for touchdowns and rushed for another score to finish with 48 yards on three carries.
Alana (29 rushing yards) also chipped in a rushing TD from four yards out and sophomore Carl Addy contributed 49 yards and an eight-yard score on the ground.
The Mustangs had 201 net rushing yards and averaged 6.7 yards per attempt and finished with 410 yards of net offense.
The Bulldogs dropped their third-straight game in a row and look to rebound against Roosevelt on Friday, Sept. 7.
Kalaheo looks to keep their win streak alive as it plays PAC-5 at Kailua's Alex Kane Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 8.
