Kaiser stops Kapolei to roll into title match

Kaiser outlasted Kapolei in a strong defensive battle, 25-19, 25-21, 20-25, 25-18, in the Oahu Interscholastic Association Division I semifinals at Jim Alegre Gymnasium Monday night.

Jon Stanley had 25 kills with 17 digs and Jacob Summers followed with 22 kills and 18 digs to power the Cougars (12-1) into Wednesday's title match against Moanalua (13-0). Na Menehune won the regular season meeting between the two teams, 26-24, 25-22.

Ezra Lono-Soares put down 16 kills with four total blocks to lead the Hurricanes (8-5) in the loss.
