Cole Mausolf knocked down a 3-pointer to give Punahou the lead late as the Buffanblu held off Tesoro (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.) for a 44-41 win at Christopher B. Hemmeter Fieldhouse Friday night in the semifinals of the 46th annual Punahou Boys Basketball Invitational.

Punahou, the top-ranked team in the ScoringLive/Hawaiian Electric Boys Basketball Power Rankings, move on to face fourth-ranked Saint Francis in Saturday's 8 p.m. final. The two teams last played each other last Thursday in the Saint Francis Holiday Hoops Classic championship game, which the Buffanblu won, 74-66.

Zayne Chong was the leading scorer for the Buffanblu, scoring a game-high 17 points with three made triples.

Triston and Tyler Broughton each scored 10 points to lead the Titans in the loss.
