Maryknoll continued its winning ways with a 67-59 win over Miramonte (Orinda, Calif.) on the first day of the annual Iolani Prep Basketball Classic Thursday night.
Five players scored in double figures to power the Spartans into the semifinals of the the Classic's girls tournament, where they will face Southridge (Beaverton, Ore.) Friday at 6:30 p.m.
Kamalu Kamakawiwoole scored 15 points and Rhianne Omori had 14 points with two made treys to lead Maryknoll in the win. Chayse Milne and Dakota Viena each scored 11 points and Bella Cravens had 10 more to round out the Spartans' leading scorers.
Claire Steele poured in a game-high 22 points to lead the Matadors in the loss.
