Wed, Oct 4, 2017 @ Radford [ 7:30 pm ]
What a way to celebrate senior night.
Radford rallied to defeat visiting Leilehua in three sets, 20-25, 25-23, 15-12, at Jim Alegre Gymnasium Wednesday night to clinch the Oahu Interscholastic Association Western Division's final berth into the Division I playoffs.
Shaniece Steer had a double-double of 11 kills and 13 digs and Bailey Darnell added seven kills and a match-high 21 digs to help the Rams improve to 4-5 in the league standings.
Radford can capture the West's fifth seed into the 12-team tournament with a win over Campbell (4-5) next Monday.
Leilehua dropped to 2-7 with the loss and is mathematically eliminated from making the postseason. A win over the Rams would have kept the Mules alive because they would own the head-to-head tiebreaker.
Aubrianna Green had nine kills and 20 digs to lead Leilehua in the loss.
