Baseball
It's been Kailua or Campbell the past five years

For the sixth year in a row, either Kailua or Campbell will be crowned Oahu Interscholastic Association Division 1 baseball champion.

The two perennial powers from their respective divisions will meet at 6 p.m. Saturday at Les Murakami Stadium.

The defending champion Surfriders will be seeking their 14th overall title, while the Sabers, which won from 2013 to 2015, will try for their sixth crown. Kailua also won the title in 2012.

Kailua's Corey Ishigo has led his team to seven titles, while Campbell's Rory Pico has led his squad to three crowns. It is appropriate that both will be coaching at Les Murakami Stadium. Both played for the University of Hawaii's legendary coach when the park was named Rainbow Stadium.

The other former Rainbows who played for Murakami to coach OIA championships are Aiea's Ryan Kato (2004 and 2006; 2015 in D2) and Glenn Nitta (Mililani in 1997).
