Kalaheo won a back-and-forth affair against Farrington to start the Oahu Interscholastic Association Division I East season with a 12-10 victory at McKinley's Tiger Softball Stadium Saturday night.

Michelle Sasaki earned the win in the pitcher's circle for the Mustangs, scattering 11 hits in a complete game effort. She also scored two runs in the contest, one of five Kalaheo players to do so.

Alicia Nawatani-Dias, Rheanna Bain and Skyla Bain all paired multiple hits to spearhead the Mustangs' offense.

Krislon Philpot-Rosa was charged with the loss for the Governors, who committed five errors.

Keila Miller led Farrington at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two RBIs and three runs scored.
