Na Menehune rolled over visiting Kapolei 25-13, 25-4, and 25-14 in a quarterfinal OIA playoff match.

Top seeded Moanalua was never threatened in the contest, and in set two, setter Zach Miyamoto had a 16-point serving run.

Austin Matautia led the victors with 12 kills followed by middle Justin Fong with 8 and Nalu DeMello each with 8, and middle Caleb Casinas with 6. .

Moanalua Coach Alan Cabanting: "As coaches, we're never completely satisfied and in set one we could have done better on the serve. Otherwise I think we're peaking at the right time and the boys are understanding how to play with each other so it's a good time for us. It's great when we can be this balanced in our offense and just go to Austin when we need it."

In an earlier match Waipahu dropped the first set but then won the next three to eliminate McKinley. Moanalua will take on Waipahu next Tuesday night at Redford in the semifinals.
