Moanalua overpowers Kaimuki to remain unbeaten

Stlll smarting from last week's razor-thin 3-set win over underdog Roosevelt, Na Menehune rolled over visiting Kaimuki 25-14, 25-14.

Moanalua pulled away in the first set after withstanding one Kaimuki run that narrowed the margin to 17-13. In set two, the Bulldogs stayed close early but Na Menehune, led by senior JoJo Kruize and middles Ke'ila Williams and Katy Ehnstrom, turned it up a notch to take the set and a match sweep.

Thinking about next Monday's key match against Kalaheo, Moanalua's Coach Alan Cabanting said that the team had a good week of practice but "our younger players are still getting used to playing as well when the lights go on."
