Michael Merchant and Lamart Dudley combined for 29 points as Campbell outlasted Kalani, 46-41, in the opening day of the Black and Gold Classic at McKinley's Student Council Gymnasium.

Kalani hit eight three-pointers in the loss, including 6 by Alexander Tungpalan, who finished with a game-high 18. Cory Mitchell added 12 points for the Falcons.

The Sabers led 26-19 at the half.
