Kiana Peroff led four players with double figures in kills as Punahou beat Moanalua in a semifinal match of the New City Nissan/Hawaii High School Athletic Association Division I Girls Volleyball State Championships Friday night.
Peroff posted a match-high 17 kills, McKenna Granato had 15, Vae Malufau 11 and Lillie Klemmer 10 for the Buffanblu (15-3). Hana Lishman also had 14 digs and Granato added 12. Setter Kiani Tuileta registered 55 assists and 12 digs.
Lia Gaogao had 12 kills and Joy Kurosawa added 11 digs to lead Na Menehune (16-1).
Punahou hit .232 for the match, while Moanalua hit just .120.
The win sets up yet another showdown with top-seeded Kamehameha in Saturday's 7 p.m. title match. The Warriors have won all three previous meetings between the teams this season.
