Tevarua Eldridge scored a game-high 19 points to help Baldwin to a 49-43 win over Lahainaluna in a Maui Interscholastic League game at the Lahaina Civic Center Saturday.
Eldridge, a 6-foot-2 senior forward, made one of the Bears' three 3-pointers and was 4 of 6 from the free-throw line. He was the only Baldwin player to score in double figures. The Bears, who are ranked fifth in the ScoringLive/OC16 Boys Basketball Power Rankings, improved to 7-1 in the MIL with four games remaining.
Jose Ryan Madera led Lahainaluna with a team-high 18 points. The Lunas, who are ranked ninth, fell to 5-3.
The Bears led 23-22 at halftime.
It was the second of three meetings between the teams this season. Lahainaluna won the first time, 38-37, back on Jan. 11. They play again on Feb. 6.
