W: Taylor Garcia-Perreira L: Shearyna Labasan
IOL: Alex Masaquel 2-2 2 runs 4 rbi 2 HRMS: Team 6 hits 7 runs
Iolani plated 6 runs in a opening inning explosion, then held off Maryknoll down the stretch to preserve a 9-8 victory.
Senior Alex Masaquel belted two home runs, a three-run shot to right center in the first inning, and then a solo home run in nearly the exact location in the last of the second, as the Raiders jumped out to an early 7-2 lead on the Spartans.
That cushion all but vanished over the course of the next five innings, as Maryknoll rallied behind a 3-for-4 day at the plate by Shearyna Labasan and a multi-hit afternoon by Mylee Enos, who scored a run and drove in two more.
The Raiders improved to 10-6 to close out the regular season, tied with Mid-Pacific for fourth place. Maryknoll fell to 12-4, and need a loss by Punahou against West Pac and Kamehameha losses to Pac-Five and Saint Francis in order to stay in the hunt for the regular season title.
