The University of Hawaii at Hilo is hosting a three-day, overnight softball camp, December 27-29, 2012. Participants will arrive in Hilo, Hawaii on Wednesday, December 26 and be transported by van to the host hotel. Instruction begins on Thursday, December 27 with a morning session designed like a typical college practice, followed by a lunch break, and then scrimmage games in the afternoon. The next two days will have a similar format.
Late afternoon and evenings will include tours of the Big Island community and UH Hilo campus, as well as a Q & A session with camp instructors and a recruiting overview. Campers will be transported to the airport on December 30 for their departure flights.
The camp is open to any and all participants, but is designed for the serious softball player who is highly motivated to continue their playing career at the college level. The cost of attendance is $500.00 which includes van transportation to and from the airport, as well as the hotel to the UH Hilo campus and softball field, overnight accommodations, meals and tuition.
Instructors include the current UH Hilo softball coaching staff, as well as current and former UH Hilo softball players and other collegiate coaches. A maximum of 30 participant are being accepted, and the application can be found at http://hiloathletics.com/documents/2012/8/28/SB_Prospect_Camp.pdf.
