Hunt Companies is pitching in to help provide much-needed improvements to the Radford High School press box. Working directly with the school's athletic director, Kelly Sur, Hunt Companies, along with its consultants, subcontractors and suppliers, have provided more than $100,000 worth of time and materials to the rebuilding of the press box. Construction for the press box began in December 2011 and was completed this August. Kahu Curt Kekuna officiated a traditional Hawaiian blessing today for the newly completed press box.

"Radford High School's aging press box was in desperate need of replacement. As a company that supports education for Hawai'i students, Hunt Companies is honored to work with Radford High School and contribute to athletic advancement for students," said Bud Waters, executive vice president of Hunt Companies' construction services division.

"The rebuilding of the press box has been a long time coming," said Kelly Sur, athletic director at Radford High School. "Radford High School is so appreciative of Hunt's efforts to raise the bar for our student-athletes and coaches by providing this much-needed restoration."

The brand new press box is twice as large as the original press box, which had been built in the 1960s. The new air-conditioned press box features a large media room, separate rooms for Radford High School and visiting teams to view football and soccer games, and individual filming stations for home and visitor teams. The design also incorporates a new ticket booth and additional storage space for sports equipment.
