Alex Ironside scored 27 points to help propel McKinley into the Division II semifinals with a 77-69 win over Kapa'a.

The Warriors took a slim 31-30 lead into the locker room at halftime, but the Tigers would pull away in the second half of play, surging to a 28-12 advantage in the third period to take control of the contest.

Kapa'a would mount a comeback in the final stanza, outscoring McKinley by a 26-19 margin, but would come up short in a comeback bid.

McKinley got double-digit scoring from a trio of guards, with Ironside, Justly Laquihon (12 pts) and Jace Bolosan (10 pts) accounting for 49 of the Tigers' 77-point total.

Lance Miyashiro poured in 26 points and 3 three-pointers in the loss for Kapa'a.

McKinley will take on Hawaii Prep, a 69-55 winner over Hanalani, in a 5 p.m. semifinal at Farrington High School.
