Pearl City's girls and Moanalua's boys captured O'ahu Interscholastic Association judo team titles Friday at Moanalua High's gym.
The top four teams from each division qualified for the OIA team championships.
The Chargers tallied 55 points to Kapolei's 40. Scoing ippon were Taylor Castro, Mylinda Jefferson, Kacie Awa and Sanoe Spencer.
The Hurricanes got ippon from Kaelyn Canyete, Diane Mikuni, Ilisha Badua and Kanani Ellis.
Pearl City reached the final by beating East fourth seed Kahuku, 80-0, in the quarterfinals and by defeating Moanalua, 60-34, in the semifinals.
Moanalua's boys rolled up 64 points to Pearl City's 30 in the championship, scoring ippon from Chad Patulingan, Sage Yoshida, Justin Fujiwara and Matt Lee.
Pearl City had ippon wins from Julian Ramirez and Min Shik Kang.
Na Menehune, which was second in the East, beat Mililani, 52-29, in the quarterfinals and beat Kapolei, 60-40, in the semifinals to advance to the title match.
Note: Campbell's girls, who finished fifth in the West, moved up to fourth when West third-seed Waipahu elected not to participate because of injuries, OIA judo coordinator Blake Moritsugu said. Leilehua moved from fourth to third.
