Kamehameha overpowers KS-Hawaii, 80-51

Micah Christenson and Kamehameha-Kapalama led Kamehameha-Hawaii by 20 at halftime, and coasted to an 80-51 win in an HHSAA Division I quarterfinal matchup.

Christenson led all scorers with 20 points, and teammate Frank Ho added 16 more for the Warriors from Kapalama, who advance to face the Academy of the Pacific in a 5:00 p.m. semifinal game at the Stan Sheriff Center tomorrow.

Kamehameha-Hawaii got 13 points from Jayce Carvalho in the loss.

The Big Island Warriors will match up with Moanalua in a consolation bracket game at 1:00 p.m. tomorrow.
