WAIPIO - Mililani captured its fifth consecutive O'ahu Interscholastic Association swimming and diving championship Saturday at the Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center.
The Trojans narrowly edged runner-up Kalani, 191-190. Third-place Kaiser had 188.
Kaiser handily won its second OIA title in a row, tallying 341 points. Runner-up Mililani had 190.
Mililani's boys set a record in the 200-yard medley relay. The quartet of Kevin Frifeldt, Dane Kawamoto, Sean Yamada and Kramer Ichimura clocked in at one minute, 41.35 seconds, beating the 2008 record of 1:41.92 set by Mililani in 2008.
