Kalani boys, Kaiser girls claim OIA East titles


Kalani won the boys division and Kaiser claimed the girls title at the OIA East Swimming and Diving Championships held at Kalani High School pool.

Two OIA East records were broken at the meet.

Kalani's Taiga Hashimoto swam a 48.60 in the Boys 100-yard Freestyle, eclipsing a 34-year old record held by former Falcon Andrew Ezer.

The other record setting performance came in the Boys 400-yard Free Relay, as Kalani's Savath Saepoo, Patrick Tam, Taiga Hashimoto, and Anson Tam broke a 24-year mark of 3:27.80 held by Kaiser, with a time of 3:23.59.
