'EWA BEACH-On senior night, senior Fouina Haskins scored the go-ahead basket with nine seconds left to help Campbell rally past Mililani, 59-55, Tuesday night before a disbelieving crowd of about 300 at Campbell.

The Sabers (5-6) trailed 55-41 before finishing with an 18-0 run against the Trojans (8-3) in the O'ahu Interscholastic Association Red West boys' basketball game.

"Feel great," said Haskins, who finished with 14 points. "We worked hard for it. We really deserved it. We had the best senior night."

The Trojans took a 49-37 lead into the final quarter. But the Sabers clawed back, pulling to 55-53 with two minutes, 34 seconds left on Haskins' dribble drive to the hoop.

Mililani had golden opportunities to cushion its lead, but Hassan Richardson, who had a game-high 26 points, missed front ends of one-and-ones twice to keep it a one-possession game for the Sabers. Richardson then fouled out with 1:50 left, sending Christopher Crawford to the free throw line, where he drained both shots to tie the game at 55.

The Trojans turned over the ball twice next minute, the latter with 14 seconds left. The Sabers tried to have Haskins set up a screen for Allan Otanes. But the Trojans' defender cheated toward Otanes, leaving Haskins open inside the key, where he took a pass and made a two-foot jumper to give the Sabers a 57-55 lead.

Haskins was fouled on the shot, but missed the ensuing free throw. But he intercepted Josh Lenchanko's inbound pass and was fouled in the process. Haskins sank the double-bonus two free throws with 8.2 seconds left to seal it for the Sabers.

CJ Ramos, one of five seniors honored after the game, led the Sabers with 17 points, including five 3-pointers.

"I told them (during a timeout) I didn't explain to them during halftime that it's simple basketball," Campbell Wyatt Tau said. "We gotta go back to basics. Go out, have fun, enjoy yourself. Try to limit the mistakes. We went out there, got some calls our way and played a hell of a game."

No one recalled when the last time Campbell beat Mililani.

Entering the game, the Sabers had clinched fourth place in the West. If anything, the Trojans were affected more because they had been tied for second with Leilehua. The Mules and Trojans play Thursday in the regular season finale.
