Led by point guard supreme Quinn Cook's dazzling 31-point effort, No. 1-ranked Oak Hill (Mouth of Wilson, Va.) sped past defending state champion 'Iolani, 81-53, Saturday evening in the 'Iolani Prep Classic quarterfinals.

The Warriors, who are ranked No. 1 in the nation by both ESPN Rise and USA Today, will face No. 45-ranked (by ESPN Rise) Dr. Phillips (Orlando, Fla.) in Monday's 6:30 p.m. semifinals.

'Iolani plays Wheeler (Marietta, Ga.) in a 3:30 p.m. consolation bracket game Monday.

The Raiders got off to a slow shooting start Saturday and fell behind, 12-2, after Keith Hornsby's 3-pointer midway through the first period. Oak Hill extended the lead to 38-22 by halftime and then 50-32 three minutes into the third quarter on a 3-pointer by Damien Wilson.

'Iolani finally found its shooting touch and closed it to 54-41 on Duke Pauli's layup off a high banker with 1:32 remaining in the third period, but Cook -- a silky smooth 6-foot-1 senior who will play for Duke University next season -- drained a 25-footer as time expired to push the Warriors ahead, 59-42, entering the fourth.

Oak Hill then opened the final quarter with a 10-2 run exclamated by Ben McLemore's spectacular slam dunk off a no-look, flip-over-the-shoulder fast-break alley-oop pass from Cook to make it 69-44 with 4:29 left.

Cook otherwise did much of the scoring damage himself, swishing six 3-pointers from well beyond the arc.

"Quinn is one of our better shooters, and as a point guard he usually tries to get other players the ball but tonight he took it upon himself to make plays," Warriors coach Steve Smith said.

Smith added that Oak Hill did not play its best game and was fortunate the Raiders struggled from the field, especially in the first half.

"We let them set the tempo and didn't really get into our press and get after them on defense the way we wanted," Smith said. "We were a little flat, and if they shot the ball better, it could have been a lot closer."

'Iolani coach Dean Shimamoto agreed, saying the opportunity was there to make things interesting.

"We had a ton of open shots, and we should have made more of them," he said.

Gabriel Vega, a 6-foot-6 junior post, led the Raiders with 12 points on several nifty inside moves and Trevyn Tulonghari added 11 points, including three 3-pointers.

"Gabo definitely was a bright spot for us, and it was nice to see him score against guys bigger and more athletic than him," Shimamoto said. "What I liked most was that he was aggressive -- he attacked them and didn't let them attack him."

McLemore, a 6-5 guard who is headed to Kansas, added 13 points and Wilson contributed 12 points for the Warriors.
