It was an aerial display at Kozuki Field as Damien and Iolani combined for seven passing scores in a 35-20 win for the Monarchs in a pivotal ILH Division I matchup.

AJ Tuifua threw for 370 yards and four scores, three to Wyatt Ho-Williams, outdueling the Raider's duo of Adrian Perkins and Kekama Kane, who also connected thrice for touchdowns.

The Monarchs opened up to a 21-7 first quarter lead on strikes of 13, 71, and 68 yards over the first 10 minutes of play, two to Ho-Williams which bookended a 71 yard catch and run by Samuel Kawakami.

Kane's 11 yard reception for a score got the Raiders on the board with 2:06 to play in the opening quarter, and his second touchdown at 7:49 left in the second cozied the game up at 21-14, which stood until halftime.

Ho-Williams' final score of the afternoon went for 57 yards at 3:29 mark of the third, and Jonah Wong made it 35-14 with 7:39 in regulation with a 12 yard rushing score. He had 151 yards receiving on the day on just five receptions.

Iolani had a sliver of hope as the lead trimmed to 35-20 on the final Perkins to Kane connection of the day, this one from 64 yards away, but the PAT was no good and an interception in the closing moments by Bubba Omoso put the game on ice.

Perkins completed 23 of 45 passes for 259 yards and three scores. He was interceptied twice. Kane had 11 receptions for 170 yards, both game highs. Running back Ayden Teranishi had 21 carries for 98 yards.

Damien also got solid contributions from Kawakami (4 receptions 103 yards TD), Wong (16 rushes 82 yards TD) and Oli Steinhoff (7 receptions 77 yards).
