Aiea sweeps past Waipahu to remain unbeaten in OIA West boys volleyball

Fidelius Mauigoa put down a season-high 17 kills to power Aiea to a sweep of visiting Waipahu in an Oahu Interscholastic Association Western Division boys volleyball match Thursday night. The set scores were 25-23, 25-14 and 25-20.

Na Alii (5-0) handed the Marauaders (4-1) their first loss in league play while remaining undefeated along with Campbelll. 

Mauigoa also had two block assists, one dig and one set assist in the win. Khendel Scully had seven kills, 21 set assists, two digs, two block assists, two aces and one assist and Julian Quartero-Echalas also tallied seven killls, eight digs, two set assists, one solo block and an ace for Aiea. 

Ray Quiton led Leilehua with 11 kills and four digs. 

Both teams return to action Tuesday night. Waipahu will visit Nanakuli, while Aiea will visit Radvord. Both matches are slated for 6:30 p.m.
