Waianae earned its first in flag football with an 18-15 win over Nanakuli.

Jedidiyah Toetuu-Aipa had two rushing scores and one passing TD to lead the way for the Seariders, who battled back and forth with the Golden Hawks on the scoreboard, and actually trailed 7-6 at the half as Nanakuli got a score on a pass from Charyssa Asinsin to Carley Sausi-Callejo.

Toetuu-Aipa's rushing score opened up the scoring in the second half for Waianae, but Nanakuli answered back once again, this time via an interception returned back the other way by Sausi-Callejo and the extra point made it 15-12 in favor of the visiting team.

Waianae would have the final say on the scoreboard, as Toetuu-Aipa's second score with her legs proved to the game winner.

In the first game of the day, Kapolei got two passing scores from two different quarterbacks, each to different receivers in a 12-6 win over Dreamhouse.

Taimane Amisone connected with Kaihilei Hoke for one TD and Lilyanah-Tiare Tavale found Nia Macaraya on the other for the Hurricanes. Those two scores bookended Dreamhouse's lone score, a pass from Chevelle Kane to Hauoli Pualilihau.

Neither team was able to put any points on the board in the second half.
