Brian Bautista | SLPAC-5 busted out the bats Saturday.
Four players paired hits and three pitchers combined on a one-hitter to lead the Wolfpack to a 12-0 win over Sacred Hearts in a game that was called after five innings due to the mercy rule.
PAC-5 rapped out 11 hits, with its first four batters in the lineup going a combined 8 for 13 at the plate. Jaelyn Natividad (2 for 3, double), Kylie Oshita (2 for 3, walk), Dahlia Gangano (2 for 3, triple, walk) and Mauliola Zuttermeister (2 for 4, double) drove in six runs and scored nine runs between them.
Zuttermeister was the starting pitcher and allowed one hit over two innings before she gave way to Oshita, who threw two hitless innings to get the win. Filinga Tuifua recorded the final three outs for the Wolfpack (2-1).
Brazhelya Tadaki accounted for the lone hit for Sacred Hearts.
Weslyn Fujiyama took the loss for the Lancers (0-4). She was charged with seven runs on four hits with four strikeouts and five walks.
The game was the matinee of an ILH doubleheader at McKinley Tiger Softball Stadium Saturday afternoon.
Both teams continue league play Tuesday. PAC-5 will face Kamehameha II at Sand Island State Recreation area, while Sacred Hearts will visit Punahou II.
