Brian Bautista | SLFarrington turned a closely fought contest into a second half blowout, scoring 35 points after the break to race past Rancho Mirage (Calif.), 42-0.
The Govs found its first points of the contest via its vaunted ground game and Kingsten Samuelu, but showed off its aerial prowess in the second half, as Donnie Faavi connected with three different receivers for scores, the last to Princeten Samuelu, who also caught a second score from Lauititi Liufau late in the fourth.
Defense also joined in on the scoring, as LJ Masalosalo picked off a pass in the third quarter and took it back 49 yards for a touchdown.
Faavi finished 22 of 32 for 224 yards passing and Kingsten Samuelu had a quiet 56 yards with a score on nine carries.
