The annual Chace Numata Senior All-Star baseball game will be held 7:05 p.m. Friday at Les Murakami Stadium.

The game pits the Hawaiian Stars, made up of Oahu Interscholastic Association players, and the Aloha Stars, composed of players from the Interscholastic League of Honolulu and neighbor islands. All players are recent high-school graduates.

The game has traditionally been played on Memorial Day at Joey DeSa Field, but was moved with the availability of the University of Hawaii's baseball stadium.

There is no admission charge, but there will be no concession stands open, according to game organizer Eric Tokunaga.

The game honors the memory of Pearl City High alumnus Chace Numata, who died in 2019 of injuries from a skateboarding accident at age 27. At the time, he was playing for the Detroit Tigers' Double-A affiliate Erie SeaWolves. He was drafted out of Pearl City in 2010 by the Philadelphia Phillies.

The game will be broadcast by Hawaii Sports Radio Network AM 760 and at 95.1 FM.
