HHSAA inducts 42nd Hall of Honor class

Twelve student-athletes from 10 different schools were honored at the annual Enterprise Rent-A-Car/Hawaii High School Athletic Association Hall of Honor awards dinner Sunday night at the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani Hotel.

Seven boys and five girls were inducted as part of the HHSAA's 42nd Hall of Honor class, which saw four leagues represented.

The induction class, in alphabetical order, is as follows:

• Adrianna Arquette, Kamehameha (volleyball)
• Yuta Cole, Kalani (track & field, cross country)
• Carly Cormack, Punahou (soccer)
• Diesel Del Rosario, Lanai (wrestling, eight-man football)
• Maia Esera, Kahuku (wrestling, volleyball, track & field)
• Maela Honma, Kamehameha-Hawaii (volleyball, basketball, softball)
• Payton Jim On, Punahou (tennis)
• Logan Lau, Mid-Pacific (judo, wrestling)
• Brooke Samura, Hawaii Prep (basketball, volleyball, softball, track & field)
• Belise Swartwood, Mililani (swimming)
• Kathleen Patiola "Lulu" Uluave, Punahou (volleyball, track & field)
• Jeremiah White, Kaimuki (football, basketball)

The group was chosen a 14-person selection committee made up of current and former sports reporters, coaches and athletics directors. Each individual will receive a $2,000 scholarship courtesy of Enterprise Rent-A-Car.
