Back-to-back.

Kamehameha continued its high scoring ways, hitting double digits for the eleventh time this season in a 17-7 win over Maryknoll to win its second straight ILH Division I title.

Mikaela Scarborough was 2 for 3 at the plate with two runs scored and five RBI, with Nikki Chong (2 for 3, three runs scored), Alexis Ahlo-Garcia (2 for 3, two runs scored) and Marley Espiau (2 for 4, run scored, RBI) all having multi-hit outings for the Warriors.

The Spartans took an early lead on a three-run home run by Palehua Silva in the top of the first, but the Warriors had the instant answer in the form of its own three-run blast by Kezia Lucas to even things up after an inning of play.

From there, Maryknoll countered for two runs but Kamehameha had more than just an answer, plating six in the bottom of the second to seize control, but did so via small ball, parlaying four singles, a sacrifice bunt, two intentional walks and an error into a 9-5 lead.

Maryknoll scored twice in the fourth to cozy up to within a pair of runs, but Kamehameha had a reply once again, with two runs of its own in the bottom of the inning to keep the margin at four runs.

The fifth inning equated to yet another flurry of scoring, as 11 Warriors stepped up to the plate in the frame, scoring six runs to invoke a mercy-rule finish, the final run scoring on a five pitch walk with the bases loaded.

Peahi Grilho-Armitage pitched a complete game, allowing seven runs on five hits, striking out one and walking five for the win.
