Castle edges Roosevelt to notch first victory of the year

Castle quarterback Daunte Ching made sure the losing stopped Friday night.

Ching accounted for four total touchdowns as the Knights outlasted host Roosevelt in a back-and-forth contest, 27-24, in an OIA Division I contest at Ticky Vasconcellos Stadium.

It was Castle's first win of the season as it improved to 1-4 overall and 1-1 in league play.

Ching completed six passes for 69 yards and two touchdowns in the win, with both scoring passes going to Coby Tanioka. Ching also rushed 23 times for 120 yards and two scores, both of which came in the fourth quarter.

Kayman Lewis tossed three TD passes in the loss to lead the Rough Riders, who dropped to 2-2 and 1-2 overall.
