Seabury Hall will take the pitch tomorow for the first time with a chance at a state boys soccer title.

The Spartans took down defending state champion Hawaii Prep, 3-1, in the semifinals of the Niu Health Urgent Care Division II boys soccer championships held at the Waipio Peninsula Soccer Complex to advance into the championship match.

Aidan Santos gave Ka Makani the early lead with a goal in the 6th minute, but James Haynes quickly equalized just one minute later for the Spartans.

Haynes gave Seabury Hall the lead in the 37th minute and provided a safety goal in the 47th.

The last time the Spartans reached the semifinals was back in 2011, losing 1-0 to eventual state champ Kapaa.

Facing off against Seabury is Kamehameha-Hawaii, a 2-1 winner over Island School, in a game that went to double overtime.

The Voyagers got on the board first with a score by Carlos Lang in the 37th minute, but Kyle Derasin countered with a score of his own for the Warriors to level the game at 1-all just two minutes later in the 39th.

With the score still tied at 1-1 at the end of regulation and the first overtime period, the match went into the the second OT and seemed destined to penalty kicks before Elijah Dinkel came through with the golden goal for Kamehameha-Hawaii in the 98th minute to win it.

Kamehameha-Hawaii is seeking its second state title. The school won its first Division II crown in 2018.
