HHSAA announces 2021 class of Hall of Honor

Twelve student-athletes from 12 different schools and representing all five of the state's leagues make up the 2021 class of the Enterprise Rent-A-Car/Hawaii High School Athletic Association Hall of Honor.

The group — made up of seven girls and five boys — were chosen from amongst a group of 56 applicants by a 14-person selection committee made up of current and former sports reporters, coaches and athletic directors. Each individual will receive a $2,000 scholarship courtesy of Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

Included in the induction class is the Hall of Honor's first student-athlete from Le Jardin in swimmer Alana Barthel, as well as the first competitive cheerleader in Cayla Cabanban, of Sacred Hearts.
