Five-time defending state champion Kamehameha will travel to Las Vegas this weekend to compete in the Durango Fall Classic.

The Warriors (19-0 overall, 10-0 Interscholastic League of Honolulu) will play Friday and Saturday and return home Sunday.

Kamehameha, ranked 36th for the second week in a row by PrepVolleyball.com, is pooled with Los Alamitos, St. Mary's and Bishop O'Dowd. Los Alamitos, ranked 37th last week, is ranked 30th in this week's poll, which was released Thursday.

Matches will be played a three different Las Vegas-area high schools: Durango, Green Valley and Foothill.

"This trip provides our team and program a great opportunity to see where we are on a national scale against the best teams in the country and to represent our program, our Kamehameha Schools and Hawai'i as best that we can," Kamehameha coach Chris Blake replied in an e-mail.

The Warriors are anchored by middle blockers Talia Jardin Fernandez and Nicole Sniffen, outside hitter Misty Ma'a, libero Chelsey Keoho and setters Alohi Robins-Hardy and Kelci Renshaw.
