Ramie's early goal carries Kalaheo to fourth OIA D2 title

KAPOLEI — Kiana Ramie scored off a cross from Liv Deeley in the second minute to lead Kalaheo to a 1-0 win over Nanakuli in the championship match of the Oahu Interscholastic Association Division II girls soccer tournament Saturday night.

The Eastern Division top-seeded Mustangs (4-7) captured second straight league crown and fourth overall, all since 2014.

The West top-seeded Golden Hawks (3-8-1) were seeking their first OIA title.

Both teams had previously punched their tickets to the state tournament. Kalaheo will have a seeded berth and a first-round bye in the 12-team bracket, which takes place Feb. 5-8 at the Waipio Peninsula Soccer Complex.
