Honokaa handles McKinley; Waialua next

Tehani Epenesa tossed 14 strikeouts to power Honokaa over McKinley Wednesday afternoon in the opening round of the DataHouse Division II Softball Championships at Patsy T. Mink Field at Maui High.

The Dragons advance to the quarterfinals where they will take on second-seeded Waialua in a 2:15 p.m. contest.

Leading Honokaa at the plate was Natasha Molina with two doubles and two RBIs and Shaela Jardine batted 2-for-4 with three RBIs.
