Rory Pico during a 2017 OIA Division I West contest against Leilehua. Michael Lasquero | SLRory Pico confirmed Wednesday that he has been named athletic director at Campbell High School. He had been serving as interim AD since August, when Sam Delos Reyes retired.
Pico, a 1995 graduate of Campbell, had been the school's assistant AD for about 10 years.
Pico was an all-state baseball player for the Sabers before continuing his playing career at the University of Hawaii-Manoa under Les Murakami.
He became the Sabers' varsity baseball coach in 2004. In his 15 seasons at the helm, he compiled a 158-75 record, making him the winningest baseball coach at Campbell. He led the team to the 2015 Division I state championship, as well as three Oahu Interscholastic Association titles and six Western Division crowns.
