Mid-Pacific sweeps past Hanalani

KAILUA — Emma Porter had 12 assists, five aces and three kills to lead Mid-Pacific to a straight-set win over Hanalani at Le Jardin's Charles B. Wang Gymnasium Tuesday afternoon. The scores were 25-7 and 25-16.

Keahu Keala, Army Warrington and Zannah Suehiro put down four kills apiece for the Owls, who notched their third consecutive win to improve to 4-2 in the Interscholastic League of Honolulu's Division II standings.

Libero Shyla Sato posted a match-high 13 digs and Alyssa Muraoka added six digs for Mid-Pacific.

Love Barrett had five kills with seven digs for the Royals (0-6), who have yet to win a set this season. Aaliyah Iwamoto recorded eight digs with an ace and Amiyah Egdamin had seven digs, seven assists and an ace in the loss.

Hanalani committed 12 hitting errors to 10 for Mid-Pacific.
