Trojans squeeze past Seariders in straight sets

Visiting Mililani gave Waianae its first loss of the season in a 25-23, 25-23 victory Monday night in an Oahu Interscholastic Association Western Division match.

Starr Sergent had a match-high seven kills and Kylee Aiwohi added five more, including the match-winning point, to help the Trojans improve to 4-1 in the league standings.

Aysia Miller was also key with 16 assists, four digs, three kills and two aces. 

Mililani, the OIA Division I runner-up from a season ago, has won four straight matches in straight sets after dropping its season opener against Kapolei.

Kamilla Marinas and Tayzia Pakele each put down five kills to lead the Seariders (3-1) in the loss.
