Kalaheo's boys and girls varsity cross country teams finished with the best overall score at the Pearl City Meet Saturday afternoon.

The Mustangs' Colby Otero and Avery Torres finished the boys varsity 3-mile run in first and second place to lead the team. Otero finished the course in 16 minutes and 6 seconds while Torres did it 16 minutes and 27 seconds.

Mililani's Timothy Schiller finished in third place with a time of 17 minutes and 30 seconds.

The Kalaheo boys junior varsity team also had the best overall score in its field. Kalaheo's Wallace Whittaker took first place in the junior varsity race with a time of 18 minutes and 20 seconds.

Radford's Camryn Butz won first place in the girls varsity race with a time of 20 minutes and 15 seconds. Roosevelt's Marika Kecskes finished 37 seconds behind Butz to take second place.

Pearl City's Caylie Uyema took top honors in the girls junior varsity race, running the course in 21 minutes and 25 seconds.
