No. 2 Pearl City hammers Leilehua, 12-1

Pearl City set a new season-high in runs as they cruised past Leilehua in five innings, 12-1 in league play at Fred Wright Park Wednesday afternoon.

The Chargers, ranked second in the Hawaiian Electric/ScoringLive Baseball Power Rankings, continued its strong run in the Oahu Interscholastic Association Division I Western Division and improved to 5-0.

Matt Yokota batted 2 for 4 and had a home run and four RBIs and two runs scored to lead the Pearl City offense. Leadoff hitter Colby Hirano never had an at bat and was walked four times, scoring three runs.

Trenton Darley picked up the win scattering two hits across four innings with six strikeouts.

Christian Ontai took the loss for the Mules, who dropped to 1-3.
