The Red Raiders defeated the Hurricanes on the road in the first week of the regular season, 27-7.

Kahuku has not lost a game at home since 2007, which was to Kapolei in the quarterfinal round of the playoffs.

Louis Maiava gives the edge to Kapolei based on quarterback play.
