Castle clips Moanalua, 2-1, for third straight win

Ezekiel Keama pitched five innings of shutout ball to help Castle hold off visiting Moanalua, 2-1 in an Oahu Interscholastic Association Division I Eastern conference contest Friday afternoon.

The Knights picked up their third straight win and improve to 6-4 in league play. Na Menehune suffered their first loss in April, dropping to 6-4.

Castle scored a run in the bottom of the fourth inning for the first score of the game. Leadoff hitter Jordan Harvest was hit by a pitch to start the half. He was able to score five batters later on a wild pitch.

The Knights added another run in the fifth inning to extend their lead. Alakai Kim tripled to start the bottom of the frame and later scored on Noah Sawyer's ground ball to right field.

Moanalua plated a run in the top of the sixth, but was unable to catch up. Skyler Yamamoto took the loss, scattering four hits across five and one-third of an inning. Utility Dilan Casupang was 2 for 2 at the plate with a stolen base to lead Na Menehune.
