Two rounds into the Oahu Interscholastic Association girls soccer tournaments and we've already seen our share of exciting games.

In the Red (Division I) tournament, just three of the eight games played have been decided by more than one goal (Pearl City's 3-0 win over Kahuku in Tuesday's first round, Mililani's first-round 4-0 win over Kailua and Kapolei's 2-0 quarterfinal win over Moanalua Wednesday). Two first-round games were decided by penalty kicks (Aiea's 1-0 win over Roosevelt and Moanalua's 2-1 win over Waianae).

Three of the four top seeds make up Thursday's semifinalists (East No. 1 Kaiser, East No. 2 Castle and West No. 2 Moanalua). All of those teams had a bye Tuesday. West No. 1 Campbell went down in the quarterfinal round Wednesday in a 1-0 loss to Pearl City — a team that it beat just 12 days earlier — on its home field.

The Chargers (8-4), who finished fifth in the West, will play Castle (9-2) at 5 p.m. Kaiser (10-1) meets Kapolei (10-1) at 6:30 p.m. The winners advance to Friday's 6:30 p.m. championship game. That will follow the White (Division 2) tournament final at 5 p.m.

Kalaheo (5-6), which beat Radford 1-0 Wednesday, and Leilehua (5-6), a 2-1 winner over Nanakuli, will face off for the league title. All four games will be played at Kapolei and will be televised live statewide on OC16.

Six OIA teams (four D1, two D2) have punched their ticket to the Outrigger Hotels & Resorts/Hawaii High School Athletic Association State Championships at Waipio Peninsula Soccer Complex in two weeks. They are the Red semifinalists (Pearl City, Castle, Kaiser and Kapolei) and the two White finalists (Kalaheo and Leilehua).The top six Red teams and top three White teams will represent the OIA at states.
