In the title game of the 'Iolani Girls' Prep Classic, Johanna Paine scored 10 points and Oregon City led throughout the game in a 49-44 contest, though Dr. Phillips got close toward the end.

After trailing 20-8 in the first period and 33-19 at halftime, Dr. Phillips closed it to 37-29 toward the end of the third quarter, but Jessica Gertz hit a 3-pointer from the left corner at the buzzer to push the lead back to 40-29.

The Panthers later closed it 48-40 on Sydnei McCaskill's 3-pointer with 2:22 remaining, 48-42 on Hannah Schaible's layup with 34 seconds left, and 48-44 on a driving layup by McCaskill 12 seconds later.

Montana Walters then sank the front end of a 1-and-1 with five seconds left to seal the victory.

McCaskill led all scorers with 16 points and Schaible added 10 points.

Dr. Phillips, who entered the tournament ranked No. 11 in USA Today's Super 25, played the title game without standout guard Taryn Griffey, who averaged 16 points and 7.5 rebounds per game last season.
