Head coach: Sid Alejado (2nd season)
Players to watch: LB Renze Manuel (5-9, 180, Sr.), WR Jordan Belista (5-9, 185, Sr.), RB Reece Etrata (5-7, 130, Jr.)
Coach's words: "We are a young team that is starting over again and rebuilding. I expect us to get better every week and improve with the more we play. I think it will be an interesting season and I wish the best to all teams." - Sid Alejado
SL's take: The Pinelads embark on their second season under Alejado, who took over for former coach Stephen "Fergie" Ferguson in 2019. In their final year under Ferguson, the Pinelads recorded their first-ever win over perennial-frontrunner Molokai - which ended a string of 15 straight wins in league play for the Farmers - and captured a share of the MIL 8-man crown, the first prep football title of any kind for the program. Alejado, who has had two sons and a pair of nephews play for the team, has been involved with Pop Warner football on Lanai for more than a decade. Alejado's offense was prolific, to say the least, in 2019, when it averaged 42.5 points per game and scored 54-or-more points in three of the team's four games that season.
