Shimokawa named 'Iolani baseball coach

Brent Shimokawa has been named as 'Iolani's new baseball coach.

Shimokawa, a 1984 'Iolani graduate, was a standout infielder for the Raiders and a starting outfielder for the University of Washington. He takes over for Jason Arakaki, who was at the helm for three seasons.

Shimokawa also was an assistant to longtime former 'Iolani coach Dean Yonamine.
