In a back-and-forth affair, Moanalua and host Nanakuli played to a 21-all tie in an Oahu Interscholastic Association football game Friday night.

Lester Meyers III ran in the tying two-point conversion after Kanoa Torres found Kingston Salausa for an 11-yard touchdown pass for Nanakuli in the fourth quarter.

The Golden Hawks got on the board first with a 7-yard TD run by Christian Asinsin and a Meyers PAT for the only points of the first quarter. However, Moanalua tied it with Tayden Evan Kaawa's 19-yard TD pass to Kama Corales and pulled ahead with an 11-yard scoring strike from Kaawa to Kila Keone to take a 14-7 lead in the second quarter.

Torres ran in a touchdown from a yard out, but the PAT was blocked to pull Nanakuli to within 14-13 at halftime.

Kaawa and Corales hooked up for an 86-yard TD pass in the third quarter. The extra point by Andy Nguyen made it a 21-13 lead for Na Menehune after three quarters before Nanakuli tied it late in the contest.

Corales recorded three receptions for 150 yards, while Jayce Bareng racked up 10 catches for 126 yards and Keone added eight grabs for 60 yards. Kaawa finished with 339 yards though the air on 24-of-42 passing with a pair of interceptions.

Asinsin carried 34 times for 128 yards for Nanakuli, which totaled 268 net yards.

Moanalua posted 369 yards of total offense.

The Golden Hawks (1-5-1 overall, 0-4-1 league) close out the regular season against Aiea Friday night.

Na Menehune (1-5-1, 1-3-1) will visit No. 2 Campbell next Saturday.
