It was a little close for comfort, but the Waipahu Marauders will take it.

Waipahu earn its first win of the regular season with a 35-34 victory over host Pearl City in an Oahu Interscholastic Association Western Division contest Thursday night

The Maruaders, who are in Division II, improved to 1-5 with four games left in the regular season. The win helped Waipahu keep its postseason hopes alive as it was the only team without a win prior to Thursday.

Felicer Barut scored 10 points while Cole Phillips and Jeminae Solomua added eight points each to lead the Maruaders in the win.

Pearl City, who dropped to 1-5, was led by Ryan Yamamoto's game-high 11 points.
